Proper Usage Tips

  1. Correct Height: The top of the crutch should be 2–3 finger widths below the armpit when standing upright.
  2. Handgrip Level: Should allow for a 15–30° bend at the elbow.
  3. Weight Transfer: Do not rest body weight on the armpits—this can lead to nerve damage. Instead, support yourself through the hands and arms.
  4. Walking Pattern:
    • Non-weight-bearing: Move both crutches forward, then swing the unaffected leg through.
    • Partial weight-bearing: Move crutches and injured leg together, then step with the stronger leg.
